I’ve done a lot of work with children and currently work on a daily basis with them; working in the public school system. I love encouraging their creativity and showing them how to believe in themselves! Whenever I hear a child say, “I can’t!”; I kindly redirect them to say “I can!” and give them the knowledge that we will do whatever we program our brain to do. That’s a straight lesson from The Little Engine that Could!
When I lead a sketchbook class, it delights me so much to see that kids that thought they could never draw — suddenly CAN when I break it down for them.

Since art was so important to me as a child, and really shaped my path in life; I love passing on that skillset to children as well as giving them the opportunity to express themselves, their emotions and their creativity in a positive way. Allowing them to witness directly what that path looked like by sharing my stories and habits as a child, also shows them they can do it too if they wish. 😉
